| What Career is Right for Me? |

| Learning Context:
Students will: 1. Complete a career interest survey on the CareerZone website. 2. Complete a career research (of their interest) by use of "CareerZone" books, cold phone calls, and personal interviews (3 resources). The following information should be included: working condition, education, skills needed, job duties, salary, future outlook, similar careers. 3. Type a report on the research they collected. 4. Design a collage representing their career. 5. Give an oral presentation to the class. 6. Then complete a one-day shadow. | Procedure:
1. Students will work in class with materials provided by teachers. 2. Students will work independently outside of school researching. 3. The teacher will provide support and schedule shadowing. |

| Reflections:
Depending on the student's career choice, students will see the connection between i.e. science class and the work place. Students will see the connection with English/Language Arts and other academics. Art will also be integrated. Students will have first hand experience in the work place. |
