The ACE Mentor Program serves high school youth who are exploring careers in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering.The mentors are professionals from leading design and construction firms who volunteer their time and energy. The program is designed to engage, inform, and challenge youth. New York Chapters include Long Island, New York City, Utica, Buffalo, Capital District, Syracuse and Binghamton |

| Biological Field Station (SUNY Oneonta) High School and College Internship |
Research teams made up of faculty, staff, selected graduate and undergraduate college students, and high school students focus on specific areas of concern such as water quality monitoring, fisheries management, biological control studies and surveys.
- All internships include 1 semester hour of free undergraduate credit. More credit hours are potentially available at the intern’s expense and after faculty consultation.
- High school interns receive a summer stipend of $1,500 and Undergraduate interns receive $2,500.
- All internships include an incentive of $250.00 that may be awarded pending the timely submission of a contribution suitable for publication in the BFS Annual Report. (Thus, High school interns can earn $1,750 and Undergraduate Interns can earn $2,750.)

SITC is a collaborative effort between FMCC and NASA. Spatial information refers to data that is connected to a geographic location. Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) are technologies for collecting, analyzing, and displaying spatial information. |

| Tech Valley NanoCareer Day 2009 |
With an eye toward addressing the national need to stimulate an interest in math and science among America's younger generations, the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering ('CNSE') of the University at Albany hosts students from throughout New York's Tech Valley region at its NanoCareer Day. Participating Tech Valley schools share in this day long event through introductory presentations and hands on demonstrations of various careers in nanotechnology. |
